Michelle Watkins is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. Michelle has litigated a broad range of civil actions, including professional liability, catastrophic injury, premises liability, public entity, and construction defect actions. As to her business and insurance practice, Michelle has provided advice and counsel on a number of issues, including government regulation, formation and dissolution, intellectual property, transportation and logistics, as well as real estate disputes. She has also represented government entities in state and federal litigation, including police misconduct and civil rights issues. Her clients have included municipal and state governmental agencies, law enforcement professionals, architects, engineers, construction professionals, health care entities and practitioners, businesses, and attorneys.
Michelle earned her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was a Quilici Scholarship recipient. She later earned an M.F.A. from Columbia University, where she received fellowships from the university as well as the Waletzky Fund. Michelle earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University, where she was named to the Dean’s List; received a merit scholarship; served as a student editor of the Annual Survey of International and Comparative Law Journal; and was selected to be a teaching assistant.
Michelle is admitted to the California State Bar and the Central District of the United States District Court of California. In her spare time, Michelle writes literary fiction and has been published in several prestigious literary journals.
