Kiran is a native Texan who grew up in the suburbs of Dallas. In high school, he won the 2000 TFA Policy Debate Tournament. He later attended Dartmouth College on a debate scholarship and was a member of the Dartmouth Forensic Union, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious debating societies. He graduated from Dartmouth, cum laude (honors), and double majored in History and Political Science. He later attended Emory University School of Law where he received the Dean’s Award for academic achievement and was a member of the Moot Court Team.
After finishing his education, Kiran began his career in complex commercial litigation primarily defending sophisticated financial entities, international banks, and hedge funds from accusations of, inter alia, fraud and contractual breach. During that time, he was part of a team that successfully recovered multiple total defense victories when plaintiffs sought between $50,000,000 and $757,000,000.
Kiran also has substantial business litigation experience defending corporate entities against various tort and contractual breach allegations. He has conducted discovery, drafted pleadings, taken depositions, handled expert witnesses, argued successfully at hearings, and settled numerous cases on favorable terms. Notably, he was part of a small trial team who defended a major national airline from multiple lawsuits alleging tort and contract claims and seeking between $48,000,000 - $120,000,000 in damages. Ultimately, Kiran and his team successfully dismissed all claims against his client and secured zero-liability verdicts in multiple cases in 2020 and 2021.
When not practicing law, Kiran enjoys working out, investing, and playing basketball. He is also an avid fan of Dartmouth Football, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Mavericks.
