Ryan J. Wityak is an associate attorney in the Albuquerque office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and he has extensive litigation experience in insurance defense, medical malpractice, premises liability, intellectual property, business litigation, employment, environmental and natural resource law and appellate practice. Ryan’s experience includes defending healthcare providers through all stages of a case. His practice also involves representing businesses in commercial transactions and litigation.
Having previously served as a counsel for the New Mexico Supreme Court, Ryan has in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of New Mexico law. His research and writing focused heavily on the legislative history and intent informing New Mexico’s Constitution, statutes and civil procedure. Prior to working for the Court, Ryan had the privilege of assisting New Mexico farmers in their efforts to obtain certification mark protection for New Mexico Chile products with the USPTO.
Ryan has coauthored two articles regarding New Mexico’s interpretation of the “business record exception” to the hearsay rule and an additional article summarizing case law governing the conduct of voir dire hearings.
Ryan enjoys reading classical literature and studying ancient languages. When not working, Ryan greatly enjoys long walks with his wife.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in the states of New Mexico and Massachusetts.
