John Sherman is an Associate at the Miami office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. with litigation experience in a wide variety of fields including: family law, bankruptcy, civil litigation, and first party property insurance defense. John has won bench trials in guardianship and domestic violence cases, and has successfully argued evidentiary hearings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Immediately prior to joining Resnick & Louis, John spent the past few years working for a mid-sized law firm representing several insurance carriers in first party property disputes throughout the state of Florida.
John grew up in South Florida and later attended Florida State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminology. He thereafter attended St. Thomas University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. John then interned with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office and went on to intern with a local criminal defense attorney, prior to obtaining his license to practice law in the state of Florida. John has also been admitted to practice law in the Southern District of Florida.
In his downtime, he enjoys watching sports, fishing, and playing kickball.
