Destiny N. Scott is an Associate at the Charleston office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. focusing on construction defect, insurance defense, and general and professional liability. Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Destiny worked at a boutique transportation defense firm where she practiced primarily in the areas of maritime law, railroad law, construction defect litigation, insurance defense and general civil litigation. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute as the Port Director of Charleston.
While attending the Charleston School of Law, Destiny served on the MALABU Law Review Journal and was a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society. She also served as President for the Maritime Law Society and Vice President of the Women in Law Society. Destiny received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Admiralty Law, Insurance Law, and International Ocean Carriage. Before graduating law school, Destiny clerked for several law firms specializing in maritime law and insurance defense. Prior to beginning her legal career Destiny attended Mount Saint Mary’s College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminology and minored in Psychology.
Destiny is a native of New Paltz, New York where she was a competitive figure skater for 15 years.
Destiny is licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina.
