Richard J. Brumbaugh is a Partner in the Phoenix office of Resnick & Louis, P.C.. Rich’s practice primarily consists of multi-party complex litigation in areas of construction law, construction defect, design professionals, A&E, general liability, wrongful death, bodily injury, automobile liability, products liability and first party property. Rich also represents corporate clients, including construction professionals and other businesses in business transactions such as insurance procurement, real estate transactions and business formation. Rich is a hands-on lawyer and prides himself in giving personal attention to each of his clients to obtain the best results possible. Rich has shown tremendous leadership, aggressiveness and creativity in his practice areas.
Rich also focuses his practice on estate planning matters including retirement planning for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wealth preservation and wealth transfer strategies, asset protection planning, planning for non-traditional families and estate taxation. Rich is highly experienced in the creation and administration of a wide variety of trusts including revocable living trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, special needs trusts, family limited partnerships, family limited liability companies, asset protection trusts and charitable remainder trusts. Rich is known to use a team approach in the estate planning process working closely with his client’s accountants, insurance professionals, financial planners and other advisors.
Additionally, Rich has an extensive corporate practice including income tax planning and business law aspects of business transactions including business formation, operation, sale and merger of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures and strategic alliances, as well as Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.
