William Pascoe has been trying cases since 1987. He has tried multiple high value, high exposure cases involving head injuries, traumatic burns and multiple injuries with long term losses and economic damages. He has focused his energy on defending serious injury cases and employment cases which have involved a myriad of claims and causes of action. Mr. Pascoe has handled a medical malpractice matter against Kaiser, as well as a dental malpractice case.
Mr. Pascoe has co-tried and successfully defended a serious head injury case with injuries and medical expenses of $500,000.00 per year. The plaintiff in the case was in a state of permanent coma with brain activity of 1/15 on the Glasgow coma scale. After a day of deliberations, the jury reached a defense verdict for the defendant.
Mr. Pascoe has also tried numerous employment cases with various allegations of misconduct, including wage and hour violations, sexual harassment, hostile environment and wrongful termination, age discrimination and race discrimination. Of those cases taken to trial, Mr. Pascoe and his clients have received favorable verdicts in ninety-five percent of the cases taken to trial.
In addition to trying over fifty jury trials, Mr. Pascoe has been lead counsel in hundreds of other matters. Including mediations, arbitrations and bench trials. Mr. Pascoe has experience in working with attorneys who are very contentious in some cases, and highly skilled and challenging counsel in other cases. When the situation presents difficult or challenging personalities to address, Mr. Pascoe has the personal and communication skills to deal with even the most difficult personalities.
Mr. Pascoe has handled case loads of up to 70 contested cases, which he handled while working as an in-house attorney with an insurance company. In that position, the attorneys were expected to try ten jury trials per year.
Mr. Pascoe has handled wrongful death cases, maritime cases, products liability cases, cases representing defense contractors, and cases with minor plaintiffs. Mr. Pascoe has handled numerous cases involving assault and battery, intentional injury and gross misconduct. Mr. Pascoe has an easy going, affable character, which is countered by a fierce competitive nature which manifests itself once a trial or hearing has commenced.
When not working, Mr. Pascoe enjoys racing sailboats on an international level, snow skiing, travel, cooking, trying new cuisines and going to the gym. With two grown children, Mr. Pascoe uses his down time to walk with his daughter and enjoy the San Diego Padres games with his son.
