Eleanor Murphy is an associate in the Las Vegas office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and has extensive litigation experience in insurance defense, bodily injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability and professional liability defense. Eleanor’s experience includes the analysis and litigation of insurance defense issues, personal injury and professional liability issues. Her practice also involves representing insurance companies in defense of bad faith claims.
Eleanor also has experience in handling appellate issues, having written several Writs of Certoriari as well as numerous Answering Briefs for the Supreme Court of the State of Nevada and the Nevada Court of Appeals. Eleanor has also provided opinions regarding complex issues of appellate law involving procedural deficiencies.
Prior to graduating from law school, Eleanor was the Literary Editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review, after being selected for publication of her note “No Means No: A Critical Examination of the Effective of the “Yes Means Yes Law, 39 T. Jefferson. L. Rev. 93. While in law school Eleanor also served as a learning assistant for Civil Procedure I and II.
Eleanor enjoys reading, spending time with her two dogs and two cats, traveling and learning how to cook.
Eleanor is licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada.
