Patrick’s areas of concentration include construction litigation, insurance defense, business formation and litigation, real estate disputes and wills and estates. As a former in-house counsel to one of the world’s largest construction management companies and founder of SC Construction Law, Patrick is well-versed in all facets of the construction industry. Patrick has appeared in state and federal courts as well as numerous mediations and arbitrations. He has actively represented owners, developers, design professionals, transportation companies, general contractors, subcontractors, directors and officers, suppliers, sureties, professional liability, manufacturers, homeowner associations and many other general business clients in various matters. Patrick prides himself on closely interacting with his clients to help achieve a successful outcome.
Patrick is licensed to practice in the South Carolina, Michigan and the United States District courts. Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in English from John Carroll University and a law degree from the University of Detroit, where he was Managing Editor of In Brief and was awarded a Presidential Scholarship. Patrick has been a frequent lecturer on construction law issues in South Carolina.

Patrick has also had the honor of being a guest lecturer for many South Carolina continuing legal education programs regarding construction and real estate related matters.
Patrick resides on Daniel Island, South Carolina with his wife Kathleen and their four children.
