Adrian R. Martinez is a Partner in the Rio Grande Valley office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. He is a creative, passionate and versatile litigator with more than 40 years’ experience representing both sides in personal injury, complex commercial, mass tort, environmental, and business-related cases in state and federal court. He also has extensive experience in successfully prosecuting fraud cases for private business clients and the United States Securities & Exchange Commission. The varied cases he has successfully litigated have been in state and federal courts throughout the United States and have involved claims in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, P.C. Adrian was a partner in his own boutique law firm. He has also been a partner in a midsized defense firm, an in-house senior trial lawyer for an oil & gas company, and an enforcement attorney for the United States Securities & Exchange Commission.

Adrian is married with a blended family of 6 adult children and 3 granddaughters. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He is fluent in Spanish having been raised a significant number of years in Mexico.

Representative Matters:
SER-CA Discos, Inc. – Recently, in federal court, as co-chair, obtained favorable jury verdict based on trademark infringement.
Gruma Corporation – In federal court, as first chair successfully represented global food company in its $25 million business interruption suit.
Alon USA – In Texas state court, as first chair successfully defended against $25 million breach of contract claim and obtained counter-claim jury verdict of $1 million.
Coastal Corporation – In Florida state court, as co-chair successfully, represented Fortune 50 oil and gas corporation in its breach of warranty suit eliminating environmental liabilities in excess of $60 million.
Dr. Juan Mancillas – In Texas state court, as co-chair obtained jury verdict in excess of $6 million against charity for fraudulent split dollar scheme.
MO-VAC Service Company – In Texas state court, as first chair reduced company’s liability in jury verdict to $75,000 from a claim in excess of $1 million.
United States Securities & Exchange Commission – In federal court in Louisiana, successfully prosecuted agency’s largest fraud case in 1991 involving losses in excess of $17 million across 17 states.
