Ryan Lupia is an associate based out of the Fort Lauderdale office, where he concentrates his practice on insurance defense, Florida glass litigation and assignment of benefit claims, first party property, and general civil litigation.
Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Ryan worked for several law firms in the South Florida area, where he gained a unique array of civil litigation and transactional legal experience. Having worked for a mid-sized (Plaintiff focused) Employment and Labor firm, a mid-sized Insurance Defense firm, and boutique Business/Real Estate firm (serving as external counsel for a European Private Equities and Real Estate firm), Ryan has represented and counseled individuals, small businesses, corporations, and insurers throughout all phases of litigation and asset acquisition from inception to case completion.
Ryan was born and raised in a small coastal town within New Haven County, Connecticut. The attacks of 9/11 compelled him to cease his undergraduate attendance at Hawaii Pacific University and immediately enlist in the United States military. Ryan served in the United States Navy, as a Naval Combat Helicopter Search and Rescue Swimmer/ Naval Air crewman, from 2008-2008. During his enlistment, Ryan was stationed in Virginia Beach, Va., and San Diego, Ca, where he conducted countless wartime training and small deployment exercises, accruing over 1000 flight hrs. working alongside the Navy’s most elite special operators, pilots, and air crewman. He similarly served two long wartime deployments to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in 2004 and 2007 respectively.
After his enlistment, Ryan attended and graduated, from the University of San Diego and Saint Thomas University School of Law, both on academic scholarships. Ryan then passed the FL bar immediately after graduating law school in 2018.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in Florida.
