Michael Todd Loftis is a Partner in South Carolina with Resnick & Louis, P.C. Todd has extensive litigation experience having litigated cases to verdict in all levels of South Carolina’s State and Federal Courts. His areas of litigation include Insurance Defense, Construction Defect and Administration, Class Action, Mass Tort, Commercial Carrier, Aviation Liability, Insurance Coverage Disputes, Contract Disputes, Employment, Personal Injury, Immigration, Governmental Liability, Premises Liability, Professional Liability and Products Liability.
Todd also has experience in assisting insurance providers in drafting policy language to conform with changes in the existing law and statutes.
Before attending law school, Todd received his Bachelor of Science Degree in American History from Charleston Southern University. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 2000 and was admitted to practice law in South Carolina later that same year. Todd is licensed to practice in all Courts located in the State of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Todd has been practicing Civil Litigation since 2000 and has represented clients in all forty-five counties within the state of South Carolina.
In his personal life Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling on adventures throughout the United States, coaching and cheering for his son’s sports teams, a quest to visit all of the Major League Ballparks with his son, civic involvement and pulling for his beloved Gamecocks. Fun fact about Todd is that when he was in Pre-K he was interviewed for the local paper in his hometown of Barnwell, South Carolina, and he was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up and he answered “a dragon”.
