As a seasoned trial attorney, Catherine is able to capitalize on her federal and state experience in resolving pending litigation through settlement, dismissals, or jury trials. Her trial experience is comprised of over 50 state and federal jury trials. In addition, her trial experience throughout Texas includes tort litigation, ranging from negligence and transportation matters to more complex premises liability, commercial, bad faith, property, auto, and contractual dispute litigation. She is also a certified mediator. Previous experience in addition to civil defense counsel includes a federal career clerkship, and state and federal prosecution. Additionally, as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, she primarily focused on white collar crime, including insurance fraud.
Notable achievements for her clients include a directed verdict obtained in the midst of a five-day civil jury trial in Jefferson County, Texas. Catherine also successfully defended a $10MM demand resulting in zero responsibility for her defendant.
She is licensed to practice in Texas and admitted to the Eastern District of Texas. Catherine received her mediation certification from the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center in 2003.
