Harriett J. Hickman is a Partner at the Albuquerque office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. where she focuses her practice on general civil litigation and insurance defense. Harriett has over 35 years of litigation experience. Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Harriett was a Partner with a prominent insurance defense firm where her practice included personal injury defense, medical malpractice, premises liability, risk management, employment, and construction defect. design professionals, A&E, cases in both State and Federal Courts. Harriett also previously served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service for 11 years where she prosecuted an average of six bench trials a week.
Harriett has successfully obtained dismissal of cases through pre-trial motion practice in both State and Federal Courts. She has obtained excellent results resolving lawsuits for her clients at mediations in both State and Federal Court matters.
Harriett is licensed to practice law in the state of New Mexico, United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.
