Dane Dodd is an Attorney at the Phoenix office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and is a litigator who has taken and defended countless depositions, questioned witnesses in court in high-profile cases, and drafted numerous motions and appellate briefs. He has a reputation as a thorough researcher and formidable writer, with a succinct and persuasive writing style. He has been entrusted with the day-to-day handling of many high-exposure matters, the preparation of numerous appellate briefs (including several before the Ninth Circuit), and the drafting of dispositive motions in many cases where the plaintiffs sought over a million dollars in damages.
Dane also has extensive experience handling insurance coverage, public entity, first party property analysis, coverage, and bad faith matters. A substantial portion of his workload is comprised of drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters; he regularly conducts examinations under oath (EUOs); and he has defended bad faith cases for at least five different insurance carriers. He also focuses on automobile liability and bodily injury defense.
Dane received his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2013, where he was Senior Articles Editor of the Virginia Law & Business Review. While in law school, Dane was a judicial extern for the Honorable Cindy K. Jorgenson of the United States District Court and the Honorable John Rea of the Arizona Superior Court in Maricopa County.
