Dane Dodd is an attorney in the Scottsdale office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. Mr. Dodd received his B.S. from Arizona State University, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2013, where he was Senior Articles Editor of the Virginia Law & Business Review. While in law school, Mr. Dodd was a judicial extern for the Honorable Cindy K. Jorgenson of the United States District Court and the Honorable John Rea of the Arizona Superior Court in Maricopa County.
Mr. Dodd is a litigator who has taken and defended countless depositions, questioned witnesses in court in high-profile cases, and drafted numerous motions and appellate briefs. He has a reputation as a thorough researcher and formidable writer, with a succinct and persuasive writing style. He has been entrusted with the day-to-day handling of many high-exposure matters, the preparation of numerous appellate briefs (including several before the Ninth Circuit), and the drafting of dispositive motions in many cases where the plaintiffs sought over a million dollars in damages.
Mr. Dodd also has extensive experience handling insurance coverage and bad faith matters. A substantial portion of his workload is comprised of drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters; he regularly conducts examinations under oath (EUOs); and he has defended bad faith cases for at least five different insurance carriers.
Dane is licensed to practice law in Arizona.
